Arena 2.0:Tagging portlet

This portlet displays the tags associated with a record. It also enables logged in users to adopt one of the tags, and to add new tags to the record.

User interface

The portlet presents the following content:

• Tags.
• Add. A link to add a new tag to the item.

The portlet displays all tags associated with a record. The font size used for each tag depends on its recent popularity. The most popular tags are shown in the largest font. The user may click a tag to execute a new search for other items associated with this tag.

If the user is logged in, each tag is preceded by a (plus) or a (minus) icon.

• means the user may adopt this tag (add it to their personal tags). The icon will then become .
• means the user may un-adopt the tag, which has previously adopted (see above). The icon will then become .

Configuration

The following aspects of the portlet may be configured:

• The page where search results will be displayed.
• Whether the Add link will be displayed. (Default: true).
• The maximum font size. (Default: 7).
• The minimum font size. (Default: 1).
• The location of the portlet, whether catalogue or article. (Default: catalogue).

Note: Article tagging is not supported in this version of Arena.
